Hypnosis focuses your attention on the possibilities of healing, self-exploration and change and has been recognised for many years as a positive therapy allowing you to gain a deeper awareness and understanding of yourself.

During hypnosis your conscious mind relaxes which enables you to access your subconscious mind where memories, feelings and beliefs that may have been locked away for years.

Hypnosis has been used in many ways and there is evidence to support that it has positive effects.

The body responds physically to thoughts. For example, when we think a frightening thought we experience increased heart rate, shortness of breath, "butterflies" in our stomach, muscle tightness, sweating, shaking and so on. Similarly when we think of something pleasurable, we experience reduced heart rate, deeper breathing, relaxation of muscles and so on. These are natural responses and you may not even be aware of them.

Hypnotherapy helps you to relax and will have a positive effect on your life.

Mindfulness & Reiki

Difficult things are a part and parcel of life itself. It is how we handle those things that makes the difference between whether they control our lives or whether we can relate more lightly to them. Becoming more aware of the thoughts, feelings and body sensations brought on by events gives us the possibility of freeing ourselves from habitual, automatic ways of reacting, so that we can instead respond mindfully in a better way.

Learning to be mindful encourages us to focus on the present, without judgement and with acceptance and kindness.

Reiki is another means of relaxation which helps awareness and acceptance. It has a positive effect on your mind and body. Reiki has been around since the 20th century and is still used very effectively today.

Regression therapy...

Sometimes some psychological and physical problems can go back to experiences from our past, often during childhood when we were more impressionable. Using regression techniques I can help you access those memories and work through them.
